HGNM Bird, Composed Photograph, by Ken Ueno

One of my most performed pieces uses this Big Bird toy which has an interesting, interruptable (and therefore instant-Reich-able), sound module. My first concert poster as concert director for the Harvard Group for New Music was banned - it featured two yellow gloves which were hung with a clothes pin, pinned on the middle finger. The HGNM bird, was created in protest to Harvard's censorship of my original poster. The background is based on work I have been developing - abstractions in nature.
